The Caixa Econômica Federal Internship Program has opened with 6,800 vacancies for high school, technical or higher education students throughout Brazil. Therefore, young people from all over the country can apply.
However, registration is not done through the Caixa Econômica website, but through CIEE. 4,950 opportunities were made available for high school students. For higher education students, 1,850. Salaries range from R$1,400 to R$1,000.
Some of the main requirements are that you must be at least 16 years old. But you also need to be duly enrolled and attending high school or a course.
According to the notice, registration is open until 12:00 p.m. on February 24. To participate, simply fill out the necessary information on the CIEE website. Check out the details below.
What is the Caixa Econômica Internship like?
The Caixa Econômica Internship Program is an opportunity for students who are in secondary, technical and higher education, with opportunities that vary depending on the activities relevant to the unit that grants it.
The internship is a way of interacting the school education process with future professional activity. Therefore, it is a supervised activity, similar to that in a school environment, so that the candidate can fully develop.
The program allows the student to:
- Learn about guidelines, philosophy, organization and functioning of institutions and companies in general;
- Have a positive view of the transition from the student phase to the job market;
- Acquire a system in your work, having an awareness of the value of productivity, communication and concise observation of experiences;
- Get an active application of everything you have studied, putting theory into practice;
- You can understand the entire process and thus define which profession you want to pursue, and also understand your difficulties and seek improvement.
Therefore, this is a way of learning that translates into better future prospects. Therefore, it increases the chances of placement in the job market.
Who can apply for Caixa Econômica Internship vacancies?
Every institution has its own rules for selecting internship candidates. It is no different with Caixa Econômica Federal. Therefore, see below who can apply for the position:
- Students regularly enrolled in public or private educational institutions, with effective attendance in Secondary, Technical and Higher Education courses, recognized by the Ministry of Education;
- Brazilian or foreigner with a residence visa in the country;
- That he has not been dismissed for the good of the public service;
- Be up to date with electoral obligations, when over 18 years of age, and military obligations, when male and over 18 years of age;
- Not having completed an internship for a period equal to or greater than two years at CAIXA, except for people with disabilities, in accordance with Art. 11 of Law 11.788/08.
If necessary, students selected for the law internship must register as interns with the OAB. In addition, they must obtain a Digital Certificate issued according to ICP-Brasil standards, the costs of which will be borne by the candidates and without any reimbursement or refund by Caixa.
Remuneration
Interns will receive variable pay depending on their level of training. Check it out:
High School/Technical Education
- R$ 400.00 – 4h/day – 20h/week
- R$ 500.00 – 5h/day – 25h/week
Superior
- R$ 800.00 – 4h/day – 20h/week
- R$ 1,000.00 – 5h/day – 25h/week
However, in addition to payment, all participants will receive Transportation Assistance in the amount of R$130.00.
About Caixa Econômica Internship Grants
Caixa Econômica's internship opportunities are divided by educational level. Therefore, 4,950 opportunities were made available for high school students. For higher education students, 1,850.
All those selected will have a contract with the bank for a specific period. It is worth noting that it can be renewed, depending on the intern's performance and the needs of the financial institution.
Internship grants vary according to the educational level. Therefore, this also affects salary, which varies according to the level of education.
Rules for participating in the Caixa Econômica internship
To be an intern at Caixa Econômica Federal, you must be at least 16 years old. You must also be enrolled and attending high school or a course. It is worth remembering that the training must be recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).
Interns work between 20 and 25 hours per week. In addition, during the selection process, there is an online test that all candidates for the position take part in. Those who are studying at a higher education institution must attend an in-person interview at one of Caixa's branches. All calls are made via email.
Regarding the virtual test, the questions include topics involving Portuguese, IT and mathematics. In addition, depending on the vacancy, there are questions about social projects, architecture and urban planning. However, these questions require specific knowledge. The answer key for the test will be released on February 27th.
Of the total vacancies, 10% are for people with disabilities (PcDs) and 30% for those who self-identify as black. All details are on the CIEE website, in the Caixa selection process.

- Higher education: law, architecture and urban planning, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, agronomy/agricultural engineering, environmental engineering, telecommunications engineering;
- Intermediate/technical level: regular secondary education and EJA, administration technician, commerce technician, accounting technician, finance technician, logistics technician, marketing technician, human resources technician, secretarial technician, insurance technician, public services technician, sales technician, occupational safety technician.
