- Access the official Uber website;
- Click on “Sign Up to Drive”;
- Fill out the form with your details, such as email, phone number, first and last name. At this stage, you will also create your password and, if you have a referral code, enter it;
- Click next;
- Select the option to work with your own car or request a company vehicle. If you have your own, just follow the requirements above.
The car must meet the requirements set by Uber. For example, it is necessary to have personal accident insurance for passengers, a requirement for all categories. However, this is not transferable, so when renting or using a borrowed car, it is necessary to have this insurance in your name.
What cars does the platform accept?
Uber requires that cars be at least 10 years old. In addition, they must have four doors and five seats. Another important point is that the vehicle's documentation must be up to date.
Drive without owning a vehicle
One thing worth noting is that the registered vehicle does not need to be yours. Therefore, it is possible to rent a car to work as an Uber driver. However, all vehicle documentation must be up to date.
