MEI is a simplified form of business. It works very well for self-employed individuals and small business owners. After all, it is a form of independent work within the law and with a CNPJ number. Thus, the professional starts working on their own, issuing invoices and having access to the rights and benefits of the modality.

The rights of a legal entity include retirement, sick pay, maternity pay and others. In addition, it becomes easier to have a PJ account and access to good lines of credit.

One of the main attractions of being an MEI is being able to regularize your business in a simple way. After all, the entire process is done online! Another highlight is that the monthly fee is small, with a fixed value and according to the activity you perform.

It is worth noting that as your business grows, you can change the type of company you operate in. This is especially true if your annual revenue exceeds the permitted amount.
