Magazine Luiza: be a collaborator and make it happen
Magazine Luiza is a chain of stores that emerged in 1957 from the work of its founders, the couple José Donato and Luiza Trajano Donato. Over time, what was just a gift shop grew and became one of the largest retailers in Brazil.
To make this possible, in 1991, under the direction of Luiza Helena Trajano (niece of the founder of the same name), a new cycle of expansion began.
Under his management, Magalu acquired several chains in the Southeast, South and Northeast regions. In addition, it began to operate digitally, with its first website in the 1990s.
In the 2000s, the chain increased its national presence, reaching the 1,000-store mark and creating one of the largest marketplaces in Brazil. In the meantime, the chain also increased its reach with a highly efficient logistics program.
